Graduate admissions
Make the connection between your experience and what comes next.
One-on-one application strategy and writing guidance with Jen for applicants ready for graduate study.
What the work is about
A purposeful application starts with a clear direction.
Graduate applications ask you to explain why a particular course of study makes sense now. We help you organize the process and communicate how your academic background, professional interests, and experiences connect with the next step you want to take. Jen has worked with applicants pursuing occupational therapy (OT), Master of Social Work (MSW), and other graduate programs.
Who this is for
College students, recent graduates, and returning applicants preparing for advanced study. The conversation begins with your goals, experience, and the programs you are considering.
What we can work on
- A discussion of your goals and the kinds of programs you are exploring
- A program research and deadline plan based on the requirements you verify
- Guidance on a personal statement or statement of purpose
- Support reflecting on work, study, service, observation, and other relevant experiences, with feedback on clear descriptions
- Interview preparation and support in thinking through program choices
How we approach it
Define the direction
Describe what you want to learn, the work you hope to do, and what you need from a program.
Organize the requirements
Track each program’s actual prompts, prerequisites, materials, and deadlines.
Build a coherent application
Write and revise with a clear connection between your experiences and the program you are pursuing.
Your work stays yours.
You remain the author of all application materials and verify program requirements directly. Counseling supports your planning and communication; it does not determine eligibility or substitute for program-specific academic advice.
Can you confirm whether I meet a program’s requirements?
We can help you organize questions and track requirements, but each program must confirm how its prerequisites and eligibility criteria apply to you. Follow the program’s official instructions for application systems, experience requirements, and supporting materials.
A thoughtful first conversation
